Statement of Faith

1.We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired by God and inherent in the original writing and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life. We believe that the Bible constitutes the only infallible rule of faith and practice.

2.We believe that the godhead exists eternally in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit and that these three are one God.

3.We believe that God is the absolute and sole Creator of the universe and that creation was by divine decree.

4.We believe that mankind was created by a direct act of God in His image but that mankind sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also that spiritual death which is separation from God, and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and that those who reach moral responsibility become sinners in thought, word and deed. We affirm that all of mankind sinned in Adam and Eve, the historical parents of the entire human race.

5.We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is truly God and truly man.

6.We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, as a representative and substitution sacrifice; and that all who put their faith in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood and not by their own deeds. We affirm that salvation is entirely apart from good works, baptism, church membership or man’s effort - and is of pure grace.

7.We believe that all who repent of their sins and receive by Faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again as God’s children and at the moment of their salvation are indwelt, baptized and sealed by the Holy Spirit.

8.We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and in His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate.

9.We believe in the personal and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

10.We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved and everlasting punishment of the lost.
